A new per-order fee is coming to TikTok Shop Malaysia.
Effective 15 February 2026 , a Platform Support Fee will apply to successfully delivered orders. Here's what's changing, how much it will cost you, and when you may not need to pay it at all.

The Short Version (If You're Busy)
-
You'll be charged RM0.54 per successfully delivered order (SST included).
-
It applies no matter how many items are in the order.
-
If the order is delivered , the fee won't be refunded , even if the buyer returns it.
-
Many sellers, especially new, small, or essential-goods sellers may qualify for a full waiver.
Now let's break it down properly.
When will you be charged?
The Platform Support Fee is charged only after an order is successfully delivered to the buyer.
In practice, this means:
-
Order canceled before delivery → You won't be charged the fee, or it will be refunded if already deducted.
-
Order delivered successfully → The fee is charged.
-
Order delivered, then returned or refunded → The fee is still charged and will not be returned.
So once the parcel reaches the buyer, the Platform Support Fee becomes a fixed cost for that order.
The fee applies to eligible orders starting from 15 February 2026 , 00:00 (GMT+8) onwards.
How Much Will This Cost You Per Order?
The Platform Support Fee is a fixed, per-order charge:
-
RM0.50 per order (excluding SST)
-
RM0.54 per order (including 8% SST)
This amount is the same for every order, regardless of:
-
Whether the order value is RM10 or RM500
-
Whether the buyer purchases 1 item or multiple items in the same checkout
You don't need to pay it separately. The fee is automatically deducted from your order settlement , together with other TikTok Shop fees.

What This Means for Your Pricing and Margins
Because the fee is charged per order, not per item, it affects how different sellers feel the impact.
For sellers with:
-
Low-priced products
-
Thin margins
-
High order volume with small basket sizes
…the RM0.54 fee takes up a larger percentage of each sale.
As a result, sellers may want to:
-
Revisit bundle or set pricing to increase average order value
-
Encourage buyers to purchase multiple items per checkout
-
Recalculate margins for low-value SKUs to ensure they still make sense
If most of your orders are small-ticket items, this is worth reviewing early before the fee starts applying.
Who Doesn't Have to Pay the Platform Support Fee?
TikTok Shop applies automatic monthly waivers for certain seller groups. There's no manual application as eligibility is reviewed by the platform.
1. New Marketplace Sellers
If you listed your first product within the past 120 days , you're considered a new seller.
Here's how it works:
-
Seller status is reviewed on the 16th of each month
-
If you qualify, the Platform Support Fee is fully waived for the entire following month
This gives new sellers some breathing room while they're getting started.

2. Small & Medium Marketplace Sellers
You may also qualify for a waiver based on your performance in the previous 30-day assessment period.
You're eligible if you meet either of the following:
-
100 or fewer completed orders , or
-
101–200 completed orders with total GMV of RM3,000 or less

A few details to keep in mind:
-
Only completed orders with no aftersales issues are counted
-
The assessment period ends on the 16th of each month
-
If eligible, the waiver applies for the entire next calendar month
This means keeping return and refund rates low doesn't just help your store metrics, it can also help you stay waiver-eligible.

3. Sellers in Essential Categories
Some orders are exempt from the Platform Support Fee by default.
If you sell essential goods under these categories:
-
Baking
-
Fresh & Frozen
-
Staples & Cooking Essentials
-
Textbooks and Activity Books listed under the KPM catalog
…the fee for those orders will be rebated in the following month.
How This Fits With Other TikTok Shop Fees
The Platform Support Fee is an additional fee. It doesn't replace any existing charges.
As a seller, you'll continue to see:
-
Platform Commission Fee (varies by product category)
-
Transaction Fee (3.78%, SST included)
-
Platform Support Fee (RM0.54 per delivered order, if no waiver applies)
Commission rates themselves remain unchanged.

Why Returns and Refunds Matter More Now
Once an order is delivered, the Platform Support Fee becomes a non-refundable cost.
That means:
-
A returned order still costs you RM0.54
-
Aftersales issues affect both customer satisfaction and operating costs
-
Reducing avoidable returns directly helps protect your margins
In practice, this puts more focus on:
-
Accurate product descriptions
-
Clear sizing and specifications
-
Better order checks before shipping
When every delivered order carries a fixed cost, preventing unnecessary returns becomes part of cost control, not just customer service.
Staying in Control When Every Order Matters
When fees apply to every delivered order, small operational mistakes become expensive. Missed shipments, wrong items, delayed fulfillment, all of these increase the risk of returns and non-refundable costs.
For sellers managing multiple platforms and stores, keeping everything in sync is often the hardest part. If you're reviewing your workflow because of TikTok Shop's new per-order fee, this is a good time to look at how your orders are handled day to day.

BigSeller helps sellers centralise orders, reduce processing errors, and stay on top of deliveries and aftersales, all from one system. For many sellers, fewer mistakes and smoother fulfillment translate directly into fewer returns and lower unnecessary costs.
