A Complete Guide to Lazada’s SVC Co-Funded LazCoin Discount for Sellers

Lazada has introduced a new way for sellers to save more when running LazCoins promotions: the SVC Co-Funded Seller LazCoin Discount. This feature lets you use your Seller Voucher Credits (SVC) to subsidise the LazCoin discounts you offer to buyers, helping you boost visibility while reducing your actual cost.

Even better, this co-funding can be used together with other SVC-supported promotions, making it a flexible tool for sellers looking to increase conversion without overspending. This guide explains how it works, how to access it, and the exact scenarios where your SVC balance is eligible for LazCoin co-funding.

What Is the SVC Co-Funded Seller LazCoin Discount?

The SVC Co-Funded Seller LazCoin Discount is a new feature that allows sellers to use their Seller Voucher Credits (SVC) to partially fund the LazCoin discounts they offer. In simple terms, this means you don’t need to bear the full cost of LazCoin promotions yourself. Instead, Lazada will co-fund the discount with you based on a preset co-funding ratio (for example, 50:50).

This co-funding can be applied to two LazCoin promotion types:

  • Store-wide LazCoins Discount: A universal discount applied to all eligible products whenever a buyer uses LazCoins.

  • LazCoins Page Exclusive Discount: A higher, exclusive discount shown only to buyers who enter your store through LazCoin-related channels (e.g., LazCoins page, coin rewards page).

By allowing part of the discount to be subsidised through SVC instead of your own budget, this feature helps:

  • Lower your promotional costs

  • Increase visibility within the LazCoins ecosystem

  • Encourage more conversions from highly engaged buyers who use coins frequently

It’s especially useful for sellers who want to boost traffic and sales without significantly increasing their discount expenses.

Where Sellers can Access the SVC LazCoin Feature

Lazada provides two access points for sellers to enable and manage SVC co-funding on LazCoin discounts.

1. Accessing SVC Co-Funding Through the LazCoins Main Page

Lazada Seller Center Marketing Center LazCoins Discount

On this page, you’ll see an SVC toggle button. Once you turn it on:

  1. Choose the SVC sub-wallet you want to use for co-funding

  2. Review the co-funding ratio, which automatically appears after selecting the wallet

This is also where you set or update your:

  • Store-wide LazCoins discount rate

  • LazCoins Page Exclusive discount rate

All discount configurations happen here once SVC is enabled.

2. Accessing SVC Co-Funding Through the SVC Shared Wallet Page

Inside this menu, you’ll find an option labeled Co-funded LazCoin Discount. Clicking it will redirect you back to the main LazCoins Discount page. This serves as a shortcut for sellers who prefer to review their SVC balance and co-funding eligibility before adjusting their LazCoin settings.

This second entry point is particularly useful when you want to:

  • Check if you have enough SVC balance

  • Switch between sub-wallets

  • Manage multiple SVC-supported promotions in one place

When Can Sellers Use SVC to Subsidise LazCoin Discounts?

Lazada allows sellers to use their SVC balance for LazCoin co-funding, but eligibility depends on whether you have participated in the LazCoins program within the last 365 days. There are two different scenarios, each with different rules and benefits.

Scenario 1: For Sellers Who Are NEW to the LazCoins Program (No participation in the last 365 days)

If you are a new LazCoin seller and you have an active SVC balance, you get access to the most flexible co-funding option.

As a new participant, you can use SVC to subsidise:

  • Store-wide LazCoins Discount: The base discount shown to all eligible buyers using LazCoins.

  • LazCoins Page Exclusive Discount: A higher, exclusive discount shown only to buyers who enter through LazCoins pages or in-channel traffic.

How the LazCoins Page Exclusive Discount Works

This exclusive discount only applies when buyers shop through specific LazCoin entry points, for example:

  • LazCoins homepage

  • Coins earning or spending pages

  • LazCoins promotional channels

If a buyer purchases the item outside these channels (for example, through manual search or browsing your storefront), they will only receive the Store-wide LazCoins discount, not the exclusive one.

Restrictions for New LazCoin Sellers

  • Once you join the LazCoins program, you cannot exit for at least 3 days.

  • Your SVC will subsidise the discount based on the co-funding ratio of the selected SVC sub-wallet (e.g., 50:50, 30:70).

Example for Scenario 1 (New LazCoin Seller)

Seller A joins LazCoins for the first time.

  • Product price: RM100

  • Store-wide LazCoins discount: 5%

  • Co-funding ratio: 50:50

The buyer receives a RM5 discount (RM100 × 5%).

SVC covers RM2.50, and the seller covers RM2.50.

This reduces the seller’s actual discount cost while still offering an attractive coin discount to buyers.

Scenario 2: For Sellers Who Already Participated in LazCoins (within the last 365 days)

If you have joined the LazCoins program anytime within the past year, the rules change.

If you:

  • Have participated before, and

  • Have an active SVC balance

Then you can only use SVC to subsidise the LazCoins Page Exclusive Discount, NOT the store-wide discount.

Why Only the Exclusive Discount?

For returning or previously active sellers:

  • The Store-wide LazCoins Discount must be fully funded by the seller.

  • SVC can only subsidise the increment above the baseline discount percentage set by the LazCoin team (e.g., 10%).

This means SVC will not cover your entire exclusive discount, only the additional percentage you add beyond the baseline.

Example for Scenario 2 (Returning LazCoin Seller)

  • Baseline exclusive discount: 10%

  • Seller sets a new exclusive discount: 15%

  • Co-funding ratio: 50:50

  • Product price: RM100

Incremental discount = 15% – 10% = 5%

SVC co-funding = RM100 × 5% × 50% = RM2.50

Only this incremental portion is subsidised by SVC.
