LazCoins Channel Now Features All Sellers With No Cost

Starting 18 July 2025, all sellers will automatically be included in Lazada’s Coins Channel for free. In the past, if you wanted your products to appear in the Coins program and offer buyers coin-based discounts, you had to fund those discounts yourself.

Now, Lazada will cover the cost of the discount for any product shown in the Coins Channel. You don’t need to pay anything, and you don’t need to activate anything manually.

This means your products will get featured more prominently in a high-traffic channel where buyers specifically look for deals. And because the discounts are paid for by Lazada, you benefit from greater visibility and better conversion rates without any extra charges.

LazCoins Discount Upgrade Highlights

1. Platform-Funded Discounts in Coins Channel
Lazada is now paying for the LazCoins discounts on your behalf, but only for products shown in the Coins Channel. You don’t have to cover any of the costs, but your buyers still get the benefit of extra savings. This helps encourage more purchases without affecting your profit margins.

You Can Still Offer Extra Seller-Funded LazCoins (Optional)

Even though Lazada is now providing platform-funded discounts in the Coins Channel, you can still choose to offer extra discounts using your own budget if you want to stand out more. The cost to you remains the same as before, but you’re only charged when a buyer doesn’t use enough LazCoins to fully claim the discount.

If a buyer doesn’t have enough LazCoins to redeem the full discount, Lazada will charge you the difference, and an 8% SST may apply on that difference.

This only happens when:

• You offer a seller-funded LazCoins discount

• The buyer doesn’t use enough coins at checkout to cover the full amount

Orders Not Eligible for LazCoins Discount

Not all orders will be eligible for LazCoins Discounts and if they’re not, you won’t get the lower LazCoins commission rate for those sales. The following types of orders are excluded:

• Products in blacklisted categories or containing free gifts

• Orders combined with ineligible promotions (e.g., pre-sale items)

• Buyers with coins who choose not to use them (until 18 Nov 2025)

• Risk-flagged buyers restricted from spending coins

• Products under the Milk Formula (0–12 months) category

Coin Usage Becomes Optional for Discounted Commission Starting 18 November 2025

Until this date, if a buyer has coins but doesn’t use them, the order won’t count as a LazCoins Discount order (so you won’t get the lower commission rate).

After 18 November, even if the buyer doesn’t use coins, the order will still be treated as a LazCoins Discount order and you’ll still enjoy the discounted commission.
